Education
I am a master's student at the UNT College of Engineering in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. I am currently working on my thesis in the Computational Epidemiology Research Lab focusing on cluster benchmarking. My other graduate interest is in computer security. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in the Fall of 2003 from the University of North Texas.
Work
I currently have an internship with SurfAid Analytics (formerly part of IBM, now part of Coremetrics) and am a volunteer sys-admin at the Denton Wesley Foundation.
Life
Outside of work and school, I am heavily involved in music and outdoor pursuits. From music composition to sound engineering to jamming on the keyboard or cello with a band, music has been a part of my life for many years. Now it is a great creative outlet and hobby. When making melodies is not enough of a break from my computers however, backpacking, canoing, skiing, and snorkeling tend to be good reprieves.
